Halloween 2011

"What do you want to be for Halloween?" This is a typical question for most kids to be asked. Luke answered that he was going to be a pirate, Zach wanted to be a mean pumpkin, and Brooke was looking forward to being Tinkerbell.  Unfortunately, that was not what mommy wanted them to be.  For the past three year, we make our costumes a secret. Not even the kids know.  I realize this won't happen much longer if ever again, but once they realized what their costumes were going to be, and they saw their "ride", they were thrilled! They had a great time and it was awesome to see everyone's reaction. We started with a few pictures at home and then began our night of trick or treating!

Came back home to this...

And then, enjoyed a cupcake before bed.

She's Going to Regret This...

Brooke and Luke both love to talk on the phone.  This consists of pacing and carrying on a conversation like an adult would.  The only thing that differs is this:

They don't care where they pace or whether or not they have clothes on!

Playing Fireman

The Catholic church in town places flags in a vacant lot each year in honor of the lives lost on September 11, 2001.  Since we don't remember what rain is these days, Chad was asked to spray down a portion of grass to make it easier to put the flags in the ground.  The kids were bathed and had eaten supper and were happy when he said they could go along.

They were so excited to get to ride in the fire truck and then help spray with the big hose.

They love anything that has to do with daddy and the firetrucks!
