The Circus

The circus came to town and we all went last night. I was so excited to see their faces with the animals and all the fun, but was disappointed when they weren't as excited as I was. I think they enjoyed it, but were still too young to really understand everything. The lions and tigers were the biggest hit.

Speech?

We had our speech evaluation last week for Zach. I'd been tossing the idea around for awhile about calling but kept thinking that he'd catch up and maybe having fluid on his ears for the first 7 months of his life was still affecting him and his speech. So, I finally made the appointment and we met on Thursday and Friday. The therapist on Thursday said she wasn't sure if he'd qualify as he has been saying 50-75 words and that is in the average range (low-average) for a two year old. Since it takes two therapists to refer a child for an intervention program, the developmental therapist was here too. She was certain he wouldn't qualify for DT services but was going to meet with the speech therapist to come to the final conclusion. We got the phone call today that Zach in fact did not qualify in either category, so we are waiting for the mail to come with a list of suggestions to get him motivated to talk and talk clearly! They did both suggest a re-eval in June so I have it marked on the calendar! Until then...we will see what comes out of his mouth! We might wish he had never opened it!!!

Easter 2010

We have been so blessed in many, many different ways. Watching our trio enjoy themselves all day long was wonderful. They were awesome in church, had fun at Nana and Papa's, and then played with Maggie and Makenna until it was time to leave Mama and Papa's.

What a great day and so many awesome memories!

Our first Easter Egg Hung ... Success!

We went to our church's Easter Egg hunt this morning. We had an awesome time and the kids found a bunch of eggs. For never having done this before, they knew exactly what to do. Brooke and Zach took off looking for eggs. Luke joined in too, but he actually had more fun saying "hi-e" to all the other kids!
