Climbers

Upon walking into the kitchen the other day, this is what I spotted:

This is never a good sign!  This means one of the climbers has been climbing into territory that is off limits!  In this case, the climbee was "hungry for some candy."  I have a feeling that this is just the beginning of things to come as my little ones contiue to become more independent.

We've Got Mail!

Do you know how to occupy 3 three year olds?  Show them a Toys R US catalog!.
It came in the mail and was used to persuade them to take a quick bath, eat vegetables at supper, and behave. (We are not above using bribery!)  After they obeyed the criteria mentioned above, they were ready to devour the magazine.  You would have thought they actually got the toys and not just a book of pictures,  they were so excited.

  While the kitchen was being cleaned, they sat on the floor quietly at first taking in all the fun stuff.  After a short two minutes, I heard shrieks of, "Ohhhh, I want that," and "Maybe Santa will bring me one of those,"  and "I LOVE these...!" 

I got out a scratch off lottery ticket and said a quick prayer. 

Wordless Wednesday...Fall Fun in the Outdoors

Time for Pumpkins

Nana and Papa asked us to go with them to a pumpkin patch nearby on a beautiful fall day.  The kids were thrilled and I was ready with camera in hand.  They had such a good time experiencing all the activities, rides, and even picking out the perfect pumpkins!

We started off with a pony ride.  Zach and Luke had fun going in circles, Brooke acted like she could have cared less!

 

We rode around in an apple that Papa was "afraid" of.  The kids giggled at the faces he made and still talk about how scared he was.  The apples really did make the grown-ups dizzy, but the kids loved it!

We rode on a ride that wasn't 3-year old friendly, but they managed!

The kids wanted to test out their skills at flying a plane...

And, after the excitement of the rides, we ate lunch.  (Smart thinking...rides first, food later!)

After lunch, we watched a pig race or two, got lost in a corn maze,

and posed for a picture or two.

It was finally time for picking some pumpkins:

Little did they know...those things are heavy!

After a few hours filled with fun, the adults kids were worn out and were ready to head home.
