Ho-Hum Winter

The dreary days of winter have set in. No more holidays to look forward to, just cold and more cold. The sun has only graced us with its presence a few times in the last week. So...we are looking to the small things that make us laugh.

Zachary's name has been shortened by Luke. For some reason, the chary of Zach's name has become Gary to Luke. Every time Luke wants his attention or talks about him, we hear GARY! "Gary, look at dat." "What's Gary doin?" "GARY, GARY, GARY."

Brooke shocked us all this past Wednesday. All three of them were running around, spinning in circles, and acting crazy. When we asked her to do a somersault, she did! She bent over and kicked her feet up and over she went. We clapped and cheered and she thought she was the coolest thing since sliced bread.

Zach is beginning to talk more. He doesn't finish the end of his words, but he talks. Ello is Elmo. Bi Bir is Big Bird. Money is still mommy. La is Luke while Boo is Brooke. He's trying and we are making do. It is just still hard to decipher some times.

This morning, I was making breakfast and they were talking upstairs in bed. Brooke and Zach were screaming "DADDY" over and over and over. When daddy didn't rescue them, I heard Brooke say, "Uh oh...now what." Zach without missing a beat screamed, "MONEY." He might not speak cleary but he knows what people say or what they mean! :)
