Three years ago today on a sunny, Friday afternoon, Chad and I traveled to our home away from home for what was our last attempt at pregnancy via help with medical efforts, hormones, needles, and doctors and nurses.
This was to be our third, and FINAL attempt at IVF. Having two failed attempts and not much hope, we walked into the doctor's office that day and greeted the people we had come to know so well. When it was our turn, we followed the routine we seemed to have down pat after so many visits to this place. After prep, we were escorted into our room and the procedure began.
On August 3, 2007, at 3:33p.m., they transferred three, grade three embryos to me. With a pat on my shoulder and a voice that usually held so much hope, but didn't that day, the doctor said, "Well, we'll see what happens."
This...is what happened:
And to this day I am still thanking the power of 3 that made this all happen. With God all things are possible!
